During the pandemic, two friends decided to take a leap—and do something wildly different. With backgrounds in hospitality and design, we wanted to create something real. A space that felt intimate, welcoming, and a little off the beaten path.
Then we found it: a 1920s house tucked away in the Heights. It was worn down, crooked, and honestly falling apart—but we saw the magic hiding underneath. That’s when The Rabbit Hole was born. A neighborhood cocktail bar where people could disappear for a while—into conversation, into community, into a damn good drink.
We pitched the idea to anyone who’d listen. A lot of doors closed. But a few brave friends, family members, and investors believed in us. That belief carried us through everything that came next.
And then came the chaos.
We gutted the entire building—down to the studs. Ripped out the floors. Rebuilt the foundation. Poured new driveways. Installed all-new plumbing and electrical from scratch. We weren’t just flipping a bar—we were bringing a dead building back to life.
Permits? Delayed. Materials? Always late. The city? Tore up the street right in front of us. We even had to help install a massive storm system. It felt like every week brought a new curveball. But through all of it, we stayed focused on the end goal: a space where people could feel something real.
And of course—the cocktails. Thoughtfully crafted, playful, seasonal, and a little unexpected—just like the space itself.
Now, after countless ups and downs, The Rabbit Hole is almost ready. We’re throwing a summer party to kick off our soft opening—details dropping soon.
We can't wait to celebrate with you.
